Living Free: We live in freedom by understanding our true identity in Christ.
2. Living Empowered: We live out our faith by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
3. Living Generous: We generously steward our time, gifting, and resources for God.
Generosity Means
a. God wants us to live as if He owns everything.
Hebrews 3:4 For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
1 Corinthians 10:26 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
Haggai 2:8 The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty.
Psalms 50:12 …the world is mine, and all that is in it.
b. Understand generosity is not an income issue, it's a posture of our heart.
2 Corinthians 8:2-3 In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. NIV
c. Requires us to think with an abundance mindset.
2 Corinthians 8:7 But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
Proverbs 11:24-25 One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. 25 A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. NIV
