We will make inner vows to protect ourselves.

3. Ask God to show you how to trust Him for protection instead of yourself.

We deceive ourselves into becoming the source of healing for our pain.

James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. They prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.  

We close off our hearts from the things of God. 

Romans 1:22-25 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
